Hello Everyone,

Here is the recap of the February 27 edition of Q94's weekly local music program, "The Backyard Rocker," which airs every Sunday night from 8 to 10 PM on WBRX 94.3 and WBXQ 94.7.

I’m still catching my breath after this week; what a busy show! First, thanks to our live guests, 4 Days Dirty, for a fun two hours. We got acquainted with 4 Days Dirty and their brand of harder-edged rock. We heard two live songs the group performed at Aldo’s in Altoona last month, and the group performed three songs unplugged on the air. In addition, we aired an interview recorded earlier in the week with Trace Moran, the organizer of the “Project: Lifeboat” Asian Tsunami Relief benefit concert, which takes place on Sunday, March 6 at the Bavarian Hall in Altoona. Trace filled us in on the details of the concert, and brought along one of the bands who will be performing at the show, Sidestep. Sidestep brought some instruments, and performed one of their songs unplugged in the studio. We then gave away two pairs of tickets to lucky listeners to attend the show. On top of that, we checked on Local Music News, reviewed Fith’s CD “Reborn” on The Professor’s CD Corner (the review is posted on Q94’s website, www.wbxq.com), and debuted new songs from A Broken Union, Wiskerbisket and Rageing Storm. Wow, what a show!

Here is this week’s playlist:

HOUR ONE:

HALESTORM – “It’s Not You”
FLIGHT 19 – “Migraine”
4 DAYS DIRTY – “Downtime” (recorded live at Aldo’s 1/05)
A BROKEN UNION – “Powerlines Over Crosswalks”
4 DAYS DIRTY – “Mr. Inside Of Me”
WISKERBISKET – “Killer”
4 DAYS DIRTY – “Losing” (performed live on the air)
SIDESTEP – “Sidesteppin’” (performed live on the air)

HOUR TWO:

SILVER SUNDAY – “Cathedral Lights”
4 DAYS DIRTY – “Wanted” (recorded live at Aldo’s 1/05)
FITH – “Drowning”
4 DAYS DIRTY – “Alive” (performed live on the air)
RAGEING STORM – “Everyday”
FLORD – “The Next Level”
4 DAYS DIRTY – “Killbox” (performed live on the air)
3 BROKEN DOLLS – “Evil Mother”

This coming Sunday night, the “Backyard Rocker” celebrates seven years on the airwaves with our 7th Anniversary Special!
