Hello Everyone,

Here is the recap of the March 2 edition of Q94's weekly local music program, "The Backyard Rocker," which airs every Sunday night from 8 to 10 PM on WBRX 94.3 and WBXQ 94.7.

It was one for the books, as Q94's "Backyard Rocker" marked five years on the air this week with a three-hour gala! We celebrated by featuring in-studio performance highlights from the show's first five years, including memorable performances from Who's Your Daddy, Stix and Stones, Groove Junkies, Halestorm, Nevermoure, Darcie Miner and more.

And in "Backyard Rocker" tradition, we were joined in the studio by Felix & the Hurricanes. The Hurricanes brought along a number of musical friends, including bassist Jeff Clapper's son, Ryan, also John Stevens, Ron Novak, Eric Wertz of Choco Sam, 16-year-old guitar prospect Ian Hersey, and loyal Hurricanes fan Frank Cicciarella. All the musicians jammed live on a number of Hurricanes originals, instrumentals and blues favorites, and the Hurricanes premiered new songs from their forthcoming new CD, expected out before the summer. Even with three hours to work with, this party still went too fast! Thanks to the Hurricanes and all their guests for making it a special night, Betsy for the excellent cake, and all the listeners who have supported the "Backyard Rocker" during its first five years. Here's to the next five!
