Hello Everyone,

Here is the recap of the July 10 edition of Q94's weekly local music program, "The Backyard Rocker," which airs every Sunday night from 8 to 10 PM on WBRX 94.3 and WBXQ 94.7.

Pittsburgh rock and roll was in the spotlight this week, as T.M.P. (The Tony Mollick Project) paid us a visit. Thanks to Tony, Fuzzy and Dave for a fun and entertaining two hours. The trio updated us on their latest happenings, and previewed tracks from the group’s forthcoming debut album, expected out in late August. Also along the way, we updated Local Music News, reviewed The Nightcrawlers’ self-titled debut EP in “The Professor’s CD Corner,” gave away a pair of tickets to the upcoming Summer Jam for Easter Seals Benefit July 24 at Altoona’s Lakemont Park, and debuted a new song from Bo Bim. It was a busy and incredibly fun two hours!

Here is this week’s playlist:

HOUR ONE:

FAT VINNY & THE WISEGUYS – “Shuffle Up and Deal”
T.M.P. – “Forget About Me”

T.M.P. – “Likely Story”
BLIND JONNY DEATH – “That Girl Is Hot”
T.M.P. – “Should’ve Known Better”
JOHN CHARNEY w/WHITE MOJO – “I Put A Spell On You”
BO BIM – “Northern Hills”

HOUR TWO:

This coming Sunday night, we welcome Philadelphia-based singer/songwriter Phyllis Heitjan to the program. We’ll hear songs from Phyllis’ debut CD, plus Phyllis will bring along her guitar and play some songs live for us as well. We’ll also update Local Music News and review another new local/regional CD in “The Professor’s CD Corner.” Phyllis Heitjan visits the “Backyard Rocker,” this Sunday night!
