Hello Everyone,

Here is the recap of the December 18 edition of Q94's weekly local music program, "The Backyard Rocker," which airs every Sunday night from 8 to 10 PM on WBRX 94.3 and WBXQ 94.7.

Thanks to Fat Vinny and Randy of Fat Vinny & the Wiseguys (http://www.angelfire.com/blues2/fatvinny/), making their annual pre-holiday visit to the program this week. Vinny and Randy updated us on the latest Wiseguys happenings, and we heard several tracks from the group’s new third album, Tight Play. We also provided information on how three lucky listeners can win copies of the new CD. We also discussed Fat Vinny’s new solo acoustic show, and heard a song he recorded recently. In addition, we reviewed the Tony Mollick Project’s debut album, Blues Catharsis, in “The Professor’s CD Corner” (the review can be viewed on Q94’s website, www.wbxq.com). And with Christmas just a week away, we played several Christmas numbers from local and regional artists.

Here is this week’s playlist:

HOUR ONE:

FELIX & THE HURRICANES – “Backyard Rocker Rocks”
B.E. TAYLOR – “Sweet Little Jesus Child/Go Tell It On The Mountain”
FAT VINNY & THE WISEGUYS – “Bad Men On The Run”
BLIND JONNY DEATH – “Driver Blues”
FAT VINNY & THE WISEGUYS – “My Girl Or My Guitar”
SPOONCHATTER – “Train”
FAT VINNY – “Pride and Joy”

HOUR TWO:

JOHN BAKER & SHERRY LENDER – “Creation Song”
FAT VINNY & THE WISEGUYS – “Folsom Prison Blues”

FAT VINNY & THE WISEGUYS – “I’m Outdoors”
THE MARTINI BROTHERS – “Santa Claus Is Back In Town”
FAT VINNY & THE WISEGUYS – “Barroom Floor”
FAT VINNY & THE WISEGUYS – “I’ll Be Home for Christmas”

This coming Sunday night, Christmas night, it’s the annual “Backyard Rocker” Christmas Special! We’ll hear two hours of Christmas sounds from local and regional bands and artists, including reworkings of holiday favorites and original holiday compositions, spanning a variety of flavors!
