Hello Everyone,

Here is the recap of the April 27 edition of Q94's weekly local music program, "The Backyard Rocker," which airs every Sunday night from 8 to 10 PM on WBRX 94.3 and WBXQ 94.7.

Once again, a very busy show. Thanks to Tim, Don and Chris of Axum for stopping by to discuss the band, their music, live show, run some hockey smack (Tim is a Flyers fan, we kept him updated on the score of their playoff game against Ottawa) and more. We heard numerous tracks from Axum's new CD, "Like So Much Therapy," and three lucky listeners scored copies of the album.

In addition, it was a "Harley Qualification Weekend" on Q94, and we qualified two lucky listeners during the "Backyard Rocker" to join the elite 947 qualifiers who get entered in the final drawing for our Harley Dyna Low Rider on June 14. Keep listening to Q94 for more chances to qualify!

We also reported the results of this year's 13th annual "Crazy Fest" Amateur Talent Show, held earlier in the day at the Greenwood Firehall in Altoona. Congratulations to all the top winners, including division winners Carley Ingold (6 and under), Athena Rice (7-9), Marci Crawford (10-11), Tesla Rice (12), Jayme Lee (13-15), Anthony Harrison (16-18; "Future Star," 16 and older), Biranda Goodman (19-21), Kelsey and Devon Ingold (duo; Broadway Bound Award), SingNature & the Sound Brigade (band), the band Animosity ("Fan favorite," voted by the audience), Carley Ingold ("Future Star," 15 and under), Crystal Marie (Hall of Fame Award), Typhani Russo (Lifetime Achievement Award), and Angela Dodson (Top Notch Talent Award). Congratulations also to all the award winners, and thanks to all the talented youngsters who strutted their stuff; the talent at "Crazy Fest" keeps getting better every year! On behalf of show organizer/emcee Dennie Huber, thanks to the sponsors, the families, the Greenwood Fire Company, the judges, and all the fans who attended and made this year's "Crazy Fest" the best yet!

Last but not least, we debuted new music from Choking Faith, No Dice, Bound and Pivot. I wasn't kidding, it was a BUSY two hours! (We like it that way.)
