Here is the recap of the August 12 edition of Q94's weekly local music program, "The Backyard Rocker," which airs every Sunday night from 8 to 10 PM on WBRX 94.3 and WBXQ 94.7. The show is brought to you by The Altoona Curve (www.altoonacurve.com), “Everybody’s Hometown Team!”

Thanks to our guest this week, Bedford-based singer, songwriter and guitarist Jackson Monsour, for making the roadtrip northward to be on our program. Jackson updated us on his latest happenings, including his forthcoming appearance at this year's Johnstown Folkfest on Aug. 31, as well as discussing his new CD, July 5th. We heard numerous songs from the CD, and Jackson brought his acoustic guitar and played two songs live on the air for us as well.

In addition, we debuted new songs from South Saturn Delta and Ted McCloskey, and we reviewed the new self-titled CD by Lowjack in "The Professor's CD Corner." (The review can be viewed in the "Backyard Rocker" section of the message board on Q94's website, www.wbxq.com.)
