Hello Everyone,

Here is the recap of the October 21 edition of Q94's weekly local music program, "The Backyard Rocker," which airs every Sunday night from 8 to 10 PM.

Thanks to our in-studio guest, John Charney (www.myspace.com/johncharney) for an entertaining and insightful two hours! John is again the music director for another edition of The Rocky Horror Show, this time hooking back up with Mad Muse Productions (www.myspace.com/madmuseproductions) for the Halloween season classic, to be staged Oct. 28-31 at The Brewery in State College. John gave us the lowdown on this year’s Rocky, and updated us on his own career happenings, including the return of his progressive/eclectic music trio, Wine Of Nails. We played music from John’s solo CD from last year, Be Water, as well as selections from Wine Of Nails and Diavolo (Wine Of Nails drummer Dom Peruso’s solo project, which John played guitar on). We also updated Local Music News, played a new song from Deja Vudoo, and reviewed Milkshake Jones’ new CD, Gala Days, in “The Professor’s CD Corner.” (The review can be viewed in the “Backyard Rocker” section on the Message Board on Q94’s website, www.wbxq.com.)

Here is this week's playlist:

HOUR ONE:

SPIRIT LOST - "Alone"
THE OVERTHROW - "Read Me"
JOHN CHARNEY - "Mourningside Pt. 1"
OLIVER SQUASH - "Up Above Down Below"
WINE OF NAILS - "Rainy Day Table for One"
THE GRIMM - "Suicide Knob"
WINE OF NAILS - "Jo Brujo"
DEJA VUDOO - "Making Angels Cry"

HOUR TWO:

IMAGES OF EDEN - "Aladdin"
JOHN CHARNEY - "Forever Endeavor"
MILKSHAKE JONES - "All I Want Is Everything"
DIAVOLO - "The Seer, Parts I & II"
JOHN CHARNEY - "Mourningside Pt. 2"

Next Sunday night, it will be our annual Halloween Special, with special guests White Witch! We’ll find out the latest White Witch happenings, plus hear songs from the group’s brand new CD, Never Dies the Dream!. Plus, we’ll feature bands and songs with a Halloween theme, plus review the new Icarus Witch CD, Songs for the Lost, in “The Professor’s CD Corner!” White Witch and things that go bump in the night on the Halloween Special edition of the “Backyard Rocker,” next Sunday night!
