Hello Everyone,

Here is the recap of the November 11 edition of Q94's weekly local music program, "The Backyard Rocker," which airs every Sunday night from 8 to 10 PM on WBXQ 94.3. The show is brought to you by The Altoona Curve (www.altoonacurve.com), “Everybody’s Hometown Team!”

Thanks to our guests via phone, Frank Phobia and Brent Black of Reading-based hard rockers Anthrophobia (www.anthrophobia.com), for an interesting and hard-rocking two hours! After a 20-plus-year career that included being signed to a national record label, stints on the Vans Warped Tour, and a number of albums and other recordings, Anthrophobia closes the book after Thanksgiving weekend. Frank and Brent discussed aspects of their lengthy career, their reasons for bringing it to an end, and the gala finale show, which happens on Saturday, November 24 at The Silo in Reading. We also heard songs from Anthrophobia's swan song CD, Ultrasound, and a lucky listener called in to win a copy of the CD and tickets to the show! We also debuted new tracks from 44 Mag and Johnny Action Figure, and reviewed Way Down East's new CD, Summon the Sea Hag, in "The Professor's CD Corner." (The review can be read in the “Backyard Rocker” section of the message board area on Q94’s website, www.wbxq.com.)

Here is this week’s playlist:

HOUR ONE:

FLORD – “Next Level”
WHITE WITCH – “Street Corner Madness”
ANTHROPHOBIA – “Das Monster/Half Annihilated”
44 MAG – “Disgust”
ANTHROPHOBIA – “One Last Warning”
CLOUD PARTY – “Tears”
ANTHROPHOBIA – “A Buck Ninety Nine”

HOUR TWO:

CHAPTER 5 – “Compromised”
THE SCRAPS – “Wasted”
ANTHROPHOBIA – “Lemmy’s Warts”
WAY DOWN EAST – “Caught in the Crosshairs”
JOHNNY ACTION FIGURE – “Lose Our Face”
SPINEBELT – “Buckle and Strap”
ANTHROPHOBIA – “Short Attention Span”
ANTHROPHOBIA – “Up One Side and Down Another”

Next Sunday night, our guests in the studio will be members of Johnstown-based heavy rockers Subdue! We'll get acquainted with the members of Subdue, learn about their career to date and hear tracks from their new CD Ununoctium. Well also feature tunes from other local and regional bands and artists, update Local Music News and more! Subdue visits the “Backyard Rocker,” next Sunday night!

Forthcoming guests and specials include:

NOV. 25 – Way Down East
DEC. 2 – Hi-Tyde
DEC. 9 – SongWorks
DEC. 16 – Images Of Eden
DEC. 23 – Christmas Special
DEC. 30 – 2007 Year in Review Special
