Here is the recap of the September 26 edition of Q94's weekly local music program, "The Backyard Rocker," which airs every Sunday night from 8 to 10 PM on WBRX 94.3 and WBXQ 94.7.

This week, we spotlighted “The Underground,” the new half-hour local/regional music television program that debuts on WWCP-TV Fox 8 on Saturday, October 9 at 6 PM. We spoke with show co-hosts Chris and Kathy about “The Underground” and what it will be about. We also spoke with members of several bands who will be featured during “The Underground’s” inaugural season, including Hi-Tyde, Silver Sunday, Flight 19 and The Marauders. Those groups will also be among six bands taking part in “The Underground’s” launch party, taking place Oct. 1-2 at Aldo’s in Juniata. We also showcased music from bands appearing on “The Underground;” and debuted new music from Funny Money, Sever, Hi-Tyde, Herbie, Silver Sunday, Tangerine, Flight 19, Luca Brazi, The Pipebombs and Coinmonster.

This Sunday night on the program, it’s the second chapter of the “Backyard Rocker” Acoustic Jam Special! As we did back in March, we’re inviting several of the area’s acoustic performers into the studio to discuss their respective projects, perform songs live on the air, and then get together and jam! Thus far, the guest list includes John Solinski & Ken Karlheim, Acid Reflux, Strummer Acoustic Show, John Baker & Sherry Lender; and we expect additional guests as well! This was a blast the first time we did it, so we’re doing it again! The 2nd Acoustic Jam Special on the “Backyard Rocker,” this Sunday night!
