Hello Everyone,

Here is the recap of the December 15 edition of Q94's weekly local music program, "The Backyard Rocker," which airs every Sunday night from 8 to 10 PM on WBRX 94.3 and WBXQ 94.7.

Our thanks to our guests this week, Fat Vinny & the Wiseguys. Thanks to the trio for another excellent interview, as the Wiseguys - now reunited with original drummer Mark Panek - discussed life on the road after a year of playing shows all over the east coast, south and midwest. We heard interesting insight on the state of the blues in other parts of the country, and we heard stories from the road. The group also talked about the highlight of meeting the one and only B.B. King after his concert in Harrisburg earlier this year. We heard numerous tracks from the band's two albums, plus the group's plans to release a third album in 2003. It was another fun two hours with Fat Vinny & the Wiseguys, and next year as you are trimming the Christmas tree, we will have annual Wiseguys visit once again!

We also premiered a song from the new local music Christmas CD, "Lords-a-Leaping," a collaborative effort featuring members of One Less Tear, Dive and Thunderbox.

This week’s playlist:

HOUR ONE:

BLEECH – “Across The Tracks”
FELIX & THE HURRICANES – “Icy You”
FAT VINNY & THE WISEGUYS – “Picked The Wrong Day”
JOHN BAKER & SHERRY LENDER – “Rita’s Party”
FAT VINNY & THE WISEGUYS – “A Lot of Blues Around”
LORDS-A-LEAPING – “The Bells of Christmas”

HOUR TWO:

FAT VINNY & THE WISEGUYS – “About Time for a Love Song”
BACKDRAFT – “3 Hour Trip”
FAT VINNY & THE WISEGUYS – “Jockey Full of Bourbon”
V.I.H. – “Can’t Judge a Book By the Cover”
FAT VINNY & THE WISEGUYS – “Sweat”
ROADKILL – “Wiccan Blues”
FAT VINNY & THE WISEGUYS – “One More Last Trip Down”
FAT VINNY & THE WISEGUYS – “I’ll Be Home For Christmas”
