Hello Everyone,

Here is the recap of the October 24 edition of Q94's weekly local music program, "The Backyard Rocker," which airs every Sunday night from 8 to 10 PM on WBRX 94.3 and WBXQ 94.7.

This week on the “Backyard Rocker,” we explored the unique musical world of Dave Buzard. A decade ago, Dave last played on live stages as the guitarist for northwestern PA’s Ask A Stranger. After a few years away from music, Dave became interested in techno and electronica, and began dabbling in this vein of music in his home studio. The eventual result was his latest endeavor, Project Twelve(34), an all-instrumental project where Dave merges his guitarwork with various electronic and techno textures. Dave shared insight with us about Project Twelve(34), and we featured tracks from Dave’s first Project Twelve(34) CD, “Small Eternity.” A few lucky listeners called in to win copies of the CD during the program. We also heard a song from Dave’s former band, Ask A Stranger, for a “Local Music Flashback;” updated “Local Music News;” and debuted new songs from False Icons and Flord.

Here is this week’s playlist:

HOUR ONE:

WINE OF NAILS – “Arms of Morpheus”
PROJECT TWELVE(34) – “Restless and Rusted”
FALSE ICONS – “Cyberwave”
PROJECT TWELVE(34) – “Terminal Torque”
BALISTIC – “One of Seven”
PROJECT TWELVE(34) – “Can’t Sleep (Can’t Cope)”

HOUR TWO:

SUTURE SEVEN – “Wither”
PROJECT TWELVE(34) – “Ronnie, It’s Me”
FLORD – “Clear Mind”
PROJECT TWELVE(34) – “Sin of the Week”
ASK A STRANGER – “Eve of Destruction” (1991, Local Music Flashback)
PROJECT TWELVE(34) – “Trip Hazard”
PROJECT TWELVE(34) – “Miss Breakdown”

This Sunday night, Halloween, it’s the “Backyard Rocker” Halloween Special! We’ll feature songs from area bands and artists with a Halloween theme; including tunes about psychos, creeps, monsters, black widows and more – also music from bands with Halloween-oriented names!
