Starting Tuesday Evenings January 19th 2010, come learn from music industry expert Bobby Borg teaching from his book:

“How to Market Your CD and Create a Buzz”

Bobby Borg is a former Major label, independent, and DIY recording/touring artist with over 25 years experience. A graduate of Berklee College of Music with a BA in Professional Music, he serves as a music business educator at Musician’s Institute in Hollywood and at the University of Los Angeles in California, and he also arranges educational programs with institutions overseas. As a music business and A&R consultant to managers, labels, and supervisors, Borg is also a prominent guest speaker at music industry events and a regular contributor to international music business publications. He is the author of Billboard Books best-seller The Musician’s Handbook: A Practical Guide To Understanding The Music Business and the author of seven other instructional music books.

As a recording artist, Bobby was part of the multi-platinum rock group Warrant where he helped write and record two albums, Belly To Belly and Warrant Live (released by CMC/BMG). He was also part of the rock group Beggars & Thieves where he recorded Beggars & Thieves on Atlantic Records. Borg formed the alternative rock band Left for Dead where he released Beatings from Orlando (licensed by Alfa Music Japan).

Borg is currently an instructor at Musician’s Institute and UCLA Extension where he teaches music business classes including: Intro To Music Publishing, Independent Music Marketing, The Business of Working Musicians, From the Streets To Success, Doing Business as a Band, and Music Business for Degree Students. He arranges educational opportunities for institutions around the world, such as Russia and Japan, and travels overseas to lecture on the U.S industry. Borg also teaches drum and percussion classes.

Borg’s newly revised The Musician’s Handbook: A Practical Approach To Understand The Music Business (Billboard Books) is used in educational institutions and songwriters’ groups around the country. He is also the author of How To Market Your CD and Create A Buzz: Putting Together and Initiating a Marketing Plan of Attack.

The dates & number of weeks don't add up.

Sorry about that! The actual end date is Feb 23 for this workshop. Thanks for pointing that out!
