I have 2 guitars that need some work done

1) Fender Telecaster Tripple Fat Black. Has a push pull tone problem. If I were to guess the push pull pot has gone bad. This pot makes the pickups single coil or humbucking. (not a tipical wire job or I would do it)

2) 1964 Pre CBS Fender Mustang. I belive one of the pickup needs rewound, or one of the switches that has been put in is bad. It also has a nasty hum in it.

What ever the case, I need to get these guitars up and running so I can play them out on gigs.

To add: I have a Peavy Duce Tube combo amp. This amp only has the clean channel. I belive lightning has taken out something within the board. Mabe needs new tubes too? not sure.

If I could find an,all in one, fix it all, kind of thing...that would rock

Keep in mind I live in Philipsburg Pa.

JP

PHILLIPI! Push/Pull pot would be a simple soldering job. Taking off the pickguard will take ya longer than replacing. Just note what goes where, use flux and don't overdo the solder...like I always do. Heck, I have a push/pull pot you can have.

The Mustang, know you don't want to do much to it, but might just need some shielding in the cavity Shocked ... Or, might be a grounding issue with a wire.

Think yer Peavey is a hybrid, right (Tube pre and SS power, or vice versa). If it's tube pre, I can give ya a 12AX7. Have some sitting around. If it's tube power, I'm fresh out of of EL34s (Think there are a couple of Tads down in the dungeon, but wouldn't do that to ya. It may take 6L6s. Try TubeDepot, or some place, for some Tungols, JJs, or Mullards). I'd then take it to Sarge, since it will need biased...and I don't screw with that...unless I have a coupl'a Luksusowa on the rocks and think "AH! A little electric shock never killed anyone"... Shocked Vodka is a cruel trickster!
