Douglas Hammel is a percussionist that pushes the limits of his abilities everyday. There is a constant energy and passion that is involved with each stroke of the drum.

There was an immediate interest when first introduced to the drums at 3 years old. Not just an amusement out of the instrument but a strong passion that would turn into the desire to pursue that as a career. His parents decided that it was time to sign him up for some lessons and started the full out musical love that Doug has.

Doug fills his time by practicing, teaching, playing for multiple bands, and recording. He is currently in the band 1 Echo 1 with the goal of getting signed and being able to take the passion of music, out on the road.

Making an impact on each person’s life through music is something that Doug always wants to continue. Through teaching or playing shows, there is always a chance to bring music into someone’s life.
