Hello Everyone,

Here is the recap of the March 27 edition of Q94's weekly local music program, "The Backyard Rocker," which airs every Sunday night from 8 to 10 PM on WBRX 94.3 and WBXQ 94.7.

Sometimes real life gets in the way of the best-laid plans. Our band guests were to be Harrisburg’s Milkshake Jones; however, singer/guitarist John Micek called before the show and informed us that his wife, bassist Marni – who is five months pregnant – took ill, and he would have to look after her rather than make the roadtrip to appear live in the studio. But John graciously offered to be with us on the program via phone instead. So John discussed Milkshake Jones, their music, live show, career to date and more. And we featured several songs from the group’s self-titled debut CD. Also along the way, we debuted new tunes from Fat Vinny & the Wiseguys, Nitekast and Phyllis Heitjan.

Here is this week’s playlist:

HOUR ONE:

THE FLAME SKY – “Woodcutter”
DAVE DISTEFANO w/GRINNING MOB – “Light the Fire, Get Down”
MILKSHAKE JONES – “Glow”
J.D. STRUM – “Empty Chair”
MILKSHAKE JONES – “Between the Lines”
FAT VINNY & THE WISEGUYS – “The Jack”
MILKSHAKE JONES – “Stop Me from Falling”
MATT WAGNER – “Cycle”
NITEKAST – “Happiness Pills”
BRIDGES AND A BOTTLE – “Carousel”

HOUR TWO:

POKER FACE – “Kontrol”
MILKSHAKE JONES – “The Sweetheart of College Radio”
PHYLLIS HEITJAN – “Where I Will Be”
MILKSHAKE JONES – “California In Your Eyes”
SILVER SUNDAY – “I Know”
MILKSHAKE JONES – “Daylight Savings Time”
MILKSHAKE JONES – “Miracle Plain”

This coming Sunday night, Lewistown rockers Wiskerbisket make their return to the program. We’ll hear tunes from Wiskerbisket’s new CD, “Something New,” meet the band’s newest members, and find out what else is new with this wild and crazy band. Wiskerbisket returns, this Sunday night on the “Backyard Rocker!”
