Hello Everyone,

Here is the recap of the March 24 edition of 105.9 Qwik-Rock's weekly local music program, "The Homegrown Rocker," which airs every Sunday night from 8 to 10 PM on Lion Country's Rock Station, 105.9 Qwik-Rock. The show can also be streamed via Qwik's website, www.1059qwikrock.com.

During the recent stretch of guests and specials, a number of new recordings have arrived in the "Homegrown Rocker" mailboxes, so we started exploring some of those recordings on this week's program! We debuted new tunes from John Edwin Phelps, Kristi Jean & Her Ne'er Do Wells, Girl From the Future, Idle Kyle, Bad Luck Lover Boys, Drew Bentley, Madison Ryan, Black Water Greed, Iron Wolf, Hate Grenade and Imbued. We also updated "Local Music News," dug a 1998 song from Backstreet Law from the archive for a "Local Music Flashback," and stepped "Across State Lines" to check out a tune from New Jersey's The Flukes!

Here is this week's playlist:

HOUR ONE:

THE GABE STILLMAN BAND - "Ain't Gonna Change"
FELIX & THE HURRICANES - "Keep On Rockin'"
JOHN EDWIN PHELPS - "Dry River"
KRISTI JEAN & HER NE'ER DO WELLS - "In the Jailhouse Now"
GIRL FROM THE FUTURE - "Alexander"
IDLE KYLE - "Square One"
BAD LUCK LOVER BOYS - "At the Baseball Game"
BLIND CHOICE - "Balance on the Floor"
DREW BENTLEY - "Carpe Diem"
INSIDE OUT - "Next to You"
MADISON RYAN - "Best of Me"

HOUR TWO:

THE HOPE FALLACY - "Over and Out"
WALKNEY - "I Always Wanted You"
BLACK WATER GREED - "Crude Awakening"
NEGAN - "We"
IRON WOLF - "Darkness"
BACKSTREET LAW - "Hockey Helmet" (1998, Local Music Flashback)
THE FLUKES - "What A Ride" (Across State Lines)
JUG - "Travel On"
HATE GRENADE - "Critical"
DARKNESS ON THE RADIO - "What Would Judas Do"
IMBUED - "Take Me Over"

We'll continue our look at new recordings that have arrived recently on our next program, and debut lots of new local and regional tunes! We'll also update "Local Music News," dig a song by a past area band or artist from the archive for a "Local Music Flashback," and step "Across State Lines" to hear music from an independent band or artist from outside of PA. And we'll review not one, but two CD's in "The Professor's CD Corner," reviewing Idle Kyle's Twisted Attention EP during the first hour, and Black Water Greed's Circle of Sin CD during the second hour! Listen to the "Homegrown Rocker," Sunday night (March 31) at 8 p.m. on 105.9 Qwik-Rock on your FM radio dial, or stream it live online at www.1059qwikrock.com!
