Hello Everyone,

Here is the recap of the July 26 edition of "The Homegrown Rocker," which airs every Sunday night from 8 to 10 PM on Q94 Classic Rock (94.3 FM) in Altoona and Lion Country's Rock Station, 105.9 Qwik-Rock. The show can also be streamed via both stations' websites.

We again did our periodic visit to the mailboxes this week, to explore new local and regional recordings that have arrived in recent days. The result was the airing of lots of new music - we debuted new tunes from Steve Treado, Joey Dalto, Anti-Corn League, Faded Flowers, Curtis and the Shakerz, Velveeta (a live track recorded this past July 4), Roc MD, Ryan Clark w/Lisa Bock, On The Brink and Donny Burns & the 3rd Degree! We also updated "Local Music News," dug a 1987 number by Cry Tuff from the archive for our "Local Music Flashback," stepped "Across State Lines" to hear music from New Jersey's Triple Addiction, and reviewed Little Buddy's Blue Zasu CD in "The Professor's CD Corner!"

Here is this week's playlist:

HOUR ONE:

HYBRID ICE - "Faith Without Works"
MEDUSA'S DISCO - "Painters Painting Paintings"
STEVE TREADO - "Take A Look At Me Now"
JAE SMITH - "Tragically Beautiful"
JOEY DALTO - "Miss Lonely"
THE ROOF - "The Drought"
ANTI-CORN LEAGUE - "White Lie"
FADED FLOWERS - "Rollin' On"
CURTIS AND THE SHAKERZ - "The Blues Down in My Soul"
BILLY THE KID & THE REGULATORS - "She Got A Hold On Me"

HOUR TWO:

NEGAN - "Obsolete"
BLOOD UNION - "A World Apart"
VELVEETA - "Come On Eileen" (live at People's Natural Gas Field, Altoona 7/4/20)
LITTLE BUDDY - "All About You"
ROC MD - "Every Single Day"
CRY TUFF - "Nobody's Baby" (1987, Local Music Flashback)
TRIPLE ADDICTION - "Hard to Say Goodbye" (Across State Lines)
GELATINOUS CUBE - "Not For Me to Say"
RYAN CLARK w/LISA BOCK - "Scars"
ON THE BRINK - "Closer to It"
DONNY BURNS & THE 3RD DEGREE - "Summer Rain"

We'll have guests joining us on our next program, as members of rising Centre County rock force Donny Burns & the 3rd Degree join us in the studio! We'll meet the band members and learn their story, discuss their music, career and live show, and hear tracks from their upcoming debut CD to be released later in August! Along the way, we will update "Local Music News," dig a "Local Music Flashback" from the archive, and review King Catfish's Americancer CD in "The Professor's CD Corner!" Hear the "Homegrown Rocker" this Sunday night (August 2) on Q94 Classic Rock (94.3 on your FM dial, or online at www.q94classicrock.com) and 105.9 Qwik Rock (105.9 on your FM dial, or online at www.1059qwikrock.com)!
