Hello Everyone,

Here is the recap of the November 8 edition of "The Homegrown Rocker," which airs every Sunday night from 8 to 10 PM on Q94 Classic Rock!

We continued our exploration of new local and regional recordings on this week's program, revisiting the mailboxes to discover new music! We debuted new songs from Black Cat Moan, Nag Champions Mystery Band, Olds and the Absolution, Coltt Winter Lepley, Reptilian Allegory, The Heathen Parade, We Came From Space, Small Town Titans and Heavy Chest. We also updated "Local Music News," dug a 1993 tune from Cambria County rockers Smokin' Guns from the archive for this week's "Local Music Flashback," and we reviewed X's For Eyes' Everything's Falling Apart album in "The Professor's CD Corner!"

Here is this week's playlist:

HOUR ONE:

ROADKILL - "American Slob"
DONNY BURNS & THE 3RD DEGREE - "Thinkin' Straight"
BLACK CAT MOAN - "Wanna Get High (Sahasrara)"
NATE MYERS - "It's My Music"
NAG CHAMPIONS MYSTERY BAND - "Big Web"
LENINA CROWNE - "Morse Code"
OLDS AND THE ABSOLUTION - "Horses" (live)
MYCENEA WORLEY - "Blessed Be"
COLTT WINTER LEPLEY - "Crack Cocaine"
ALYSSA HANKEY - "Flood"
REPTILIAN ALLEGORY - "Harnessed"

HOUR TWO:

NEGAN - "We"
AFTER THE FALL - "My Confession"
THE HEATHEN PARADE - "Born Again Leviathan"
X's FOR EYES - "My Enemy"
WE CAME FROM SPACE - "Seize the Day"
SMOKIN' GUNS - "I'm Blind" (1993, Local Music Flashback)
BIGFOOT'S UGLY MANSION - "Snowflake"
HEAVY CHEST - "Mantis"
SMALL TOWN TITANS - "The Ride"

Guess what? We still have more new recordings to check out, so we'll keep rummaging the mailboxes on our next program to investigate more new local and regional music! We'll again dig another "Local Music Flashback" from the archive, step "Across State Lines" to hear a song from an independent band or artist from outside the state, and review Nag Champions Mystery Band's Peel & Reveal album in "The Professor's CD Corner!" Hear the "Homegrown Rocker' this Sunday night (November 15) on Q94 Classic Rock - 94.3 FM and online at www.q94classicrock.com!

In Local Music News...

The Central Pennsylvania Music Hall of Fame has announced that due to COVID-19, they have pushed back their second annual Central Pennsylvania Music Awards and Hall of Fame induction ceremony events until spring of next year. The events were to originally happen in late January; organizers are hoping that the COVID situation will improve by spring, and that the events can be held in a theater environment with less occupancy restrictions. In the meantime, nominations for the awards have been extended. For more information or to make a nomination, visit the website www.cpmhof.com/awards.

And the dates have been announced for the 26th annual Millennium Music Conference in Harrisburg. The two-day event will take place on Friday and Saturday, February 26 and 27, 2021. The conference will feature industry keynotes, education panels, workshops, mentoring sessions, an industry trade show, and two nights of music from nearly 200 different bands and performers. The conference will happen at the Hilton Harrisburg Hotel in downtown Harrisburg. Showcase submissions for the conference are being accepted for free through November 30; for more information, visit the conference’s website, www.musicconference.net.
