Hello Everyone,

Here is the recap of the December 6 edition of "The Homegrown Rocker," which airs every Sunday night from 8 to 10 PM on Q94 Classic Rock!

Thanks to our band guests - Adam, Chris and Matt of Bedford/Blair County-based rockers the Bad Luck Lover Boys - for joining us in the studio for this week's show! We learned about the group and their story, and checked out tunes from their forthcoming new full-length album, Letters to Emily! We also debuted new Christmas tunes from Kenny Murdick and Chip & the Charge Ups, updated "Local Music News," dug a 2002 song from Saucemonster from the archive for this week's "Local Music Flashback," and reviewed Steve Treado's Off the Grid album in "The Professor's CD Corner!"

Here is this week's playlist:

HOUR ONE:

JIM DONOVAN & THE SUN KING WARRIORS - "You Are My Everything"
WALKNEY - "I Always Wanted You"
BAD LUCK LOVER BOYS - "Somewhere Girl"
KENNY MURDICK - "Chuck's Christmas Jam"
BAD LUCK LOVER BOYS - "Movie Song"
BLIND CHOICE - "Courtney"
BAD LUCK LOVER BOYS - "Mixed Bag"
DUMM - "Lovely Lonely"
TUKKER - Rebound (Heart of Darkness)"

HOUR TWO:

POST SEASON - "Numb to This"
THE SNIPPED - "Friday Night"
BAD LUCK LOVER BOYS - "Pirate Song"
STEVE TREADO - "Howl at the Moon"
BAD LUCK LOVER BOYS - "London Fog"
SAUCEMONSTER - "Lost Control" (2002, Local Music Flashback)
BAD LUCK LOVER BOYS - "Corey's Hangover"
CHIP & THE CHARGE UPS - "Black and Gold Christmas"

For the final time in 2020, we will revisit the mailboxes on our next program to explore some of the final new recordings of 2020 to arrive from the area music scene! Expect to hear new tunes from Post Traumatik, The Jeremy Edge Project, Chip & the Charge Ups, We Came From Space, Skies of Terra and many more! Along the way, we will update "Local Music News," dig a "Local Music Flashback" from the archive, step "Across State Lines" to hear a tune from an independent band or artist from outside the state, and review Jonah Whale's VI album in "The Professor's CD Corner!" Hear the "Homegrown Rocker' this Sunday night (December 13) on Q94 Classic Rock - 94.3 FM and online at www.q94classicrock.com!

In Local Music News...

Although officially announced back in October, the “Homegrown Rocker” recently learned that after initially being postponed until December 12 due to COVID-19, the annual Yinzfest music festival event, which was to take place at Mr. Small's Theatre in Pittsburgh's Millvale section, was cancelled altogether after organizers determined there was no way they could stage this year's event due to public safety concerns over COVID-19.

One area summer concert series event has announced their plans for 2021. The Pennsylvania Roundhouse Rally has announced the dates for the Roundhouse Rally Summer Concert Series, which will take place during five weekends at Roundhouse Harley-Davidson between Altoona and Duncansville. The announced dates will be Memorial Day weekend, May 27-29, also June 24-26, July 15-17, August 5-7 and September 3-4. Organizers plan to begin to announce the bands for the concerts in January.
