Hello Everyone,

Here is the recap of the January 3 edition of "The Homegrown Rocker," which airs every Sunday night from 8 to 10 PM on Q94 Classic Rock!

We opened the New Year on the "Homegrown Rocker" by visiting the mailboxes to see what new local and regional recordings have arrived during the holidays. As a result, we debuted a lot of new music on this week's program, playing for the first time new tunes from Black Cat Moan, Memory Collector, Afro N'at, Tupelo, Jack Pyers, Randall Pink and The Redlines. We also updated "Local Music News," dug a 2002 song by Altoona's Broken Neck from the archive for this week's "Local Music Flashback," stepped "Across State Lines" to check out a song from Corpus Christi, Texas-based punk-folk group Black TarPoon, and reviewed Tim Woods' Vortex album in "The Professor's CD Corner!"

Here is this week's playlist:

HOUR ONE:

POST TRAUMATIK - "Running Wild"
JONAH WHALE - "Nothin' Like This"
BLACK CAT MOAN - "I Am Love"

JACK PYERS - "I Don't Wanna Know"
FELIX & THE HURRICANES - "Little Ears"

BLACK TARPOON - "Gloom" (Across State Lines)
RIK GOLDEN - "Cresson Gutter Bums"
THE REDLINES - "Down to the River"

We'll welcome our first guest of the New Year on our next program, as Bedford-based singer and songwriter Coltt Winter Lepley will join us in the studio! We'll learn Coltt's story and discuss his career and music, and he'll bring his guitar and play a few songs for us live! We'll also update "Local Music News," dig a "Local Music Flashback" from the archive, and review The Jeremy Edge Project's self-titled album in "The Professor's CD Corner!"
