Hello Everyone,

Here is the recap of the July 18 edition of "The Homegrown Rocker," which airs every Sunday night from 8 to 10 PM on Q94 Classic Rock!

This week, we presented the 2021 installment of our annual "Cover Song Special!" We again explored how area bands and artists covered and interpreted the music of other musicians! We heard local and regional musicians cover popular hit songs as well as album deep cuts, over a broad range of musical flavors! In one case, we even heard a cover of a cover! We also dug into the archive for a 2000 cover song by Backstreet Law for this week's "Local Music Flashback," and reviewed Antonio Andrade's mostly cover song Lucky in Love album in "The Professor's CD Corner!" (For those who missed the program, a four-part podcast of this show is available for listening or download from Q94's website, www.q94classicrock.com. Click on "The Professor's Classroom," and then scroll down to "Homegrown Rocker Podcast" and look for the four show segments marked with the date, 071821.)

Here is this week's playlist (including covered band or artist in parentheses):

HOUR ONE:

On our next program, we welcome into the studio our guest, Sascha Frost! Plus, Sascha is the primary organizer of the upcoming Mass N Tha Grass Music & Arts Festival, which happens Aug. 6-8 at the Sinking Valley Fairgrounds! We'll spotlight music from some of the many bands and artists performing at that festival! We'll also update "Local Music News," dig into the archive to hear a tune from a past area band or artist, and review Dream Home's self-titled CD in "The Professor's CD Corner!" Hear the "Homegrown Rocker" this Sunday night (July 25) on Q94 Classic Rock - 94.3 FM and online at www.q94classicrock.com!
