Hello Everyone,

Here is the recap of the March 13 edition of "The Homegrown Rocker," which airs every Sunday night from 8 to 10 PM on Q94 Classic Rock!

This week, with St. Patrick's Day just days ahead, we presented the 2022 edition of the annual "Homegrown Rocker" St. Paddy's Special! We shined the spotlight on local and regional bands and musicians with a wee touch of the Irish in their music. We heard original Irish-themed songs as well as time-tested Irish traditional folk and pub songs from established favorites such as The Irish Pretenders, Lucky Lad Green, Kilmaine Saints, Bastard Bearded Irishmen, Tree and Full Kilt. And we also debuted a new Irish-flavored tune from the pairing of Bill Dann & Denny Pompa, and also introduced songs from Callanish, The Low Kings, The Wild Geese and more. We also dug out a 2001 Irish season favorite from the Michael O'Brian Band for a St. Paddy's "Local Music Flashback," and stepped "Across State Lines" to hear a tune from Chicago-based Irish punk rocking favorites The Tossers! (For those who missed the program, a four-part podcast of this show is available for listening or download from Q94's website, www.q94classicrock.com. Click on "The Professor's Classroom," and then scroll down to "Homegrown Rocker Podcast" and look for the four show segments marked with the date, 031322.)
