Hello Everyone,

Here is the recap of the May 8 edition of "The Homegrown Rocker," which airs every Sunday night from 8 to 10 PM on Q94 Classic Rock!

This week, we welcomed into the studio Altoona-based singer, songwriter and country artist Mike Williamson! We discussed Mike's career, including his work in and out of Nashville, his live show, songwriting style and more, plus we talked about his latest album, Almost There... and heard songs from the album! We also debuted new songs from Dave Nichols & Phil Peretti and Steve Treado, updated "Local Music News," dug a 1999 number by Mifflin County's Blackwater from the archive for this week's "Local Music Flashback," and reviewed Bob Randall's Thunderbird album in "The Professor's CD Corner!" (For those who missed the program, a four-part podcast of this show is available for listening or download from Q94's website, www.q94classicrock.com. Click on "The Professor's Classroom," and then scroll down to "Homegrown Rocker Podcast" and look for the four show segments marked with the date, 050822.)

Here is this week's playlist:

'Dadcore' returns on our next program, as we welcome the members of Altoona 'dadcore' punk rockers The Snipped into the studio! We'll find out the latest Snipped happenings, including hooking up with an indie record label and issuing their latest album, Tales From the Work Bench, and we'll hear songs from the album as well! And maybe we'll even receive fatherly 'dadcore' advice on proper lawnmower maintenance and outdoor grilling! We'll also update "Local Music News," and dig a song from a past area band or artist from the archive for a "Local Music Flashback!" Hear the "Homegrown Rocker" this Sunday night (May 15) on Q94 Classic Rock - 94.3 FM and online at www.q94classicrock.com!
