Hello Everyone,

Here is the recap of the June 26 edition of "The Homegrown Rocker," which airs every Sunday night from 8 to 10 PM on Q94 Classic Rock!

It's been a number of weeks since we last officially "visited the mailboxes," so we returned to them this week to check out new area recordings that have arrived in recent weeks! That meant that a lot of new tunes hit the "Homegrown Rocker" airwaves this week - we debuted new numbers from Silver Lights, Steve Treado, Buffalo Rose (with Tom Paxton), OverheaD, Van Wagner, Dr. Chance Bartleby, Paper Plants, Nail Bite, The Destruct Principle and Marcel Ray Duriez! We also updated "Local Music News," and dug out a 2006 number by Altoona's Choking Faith for a "Local Music Flashback," and stepped "Across State Lines" to hear a song from Atlanta, Georgia's Turn Cold! (For those who missed the program, a four-part podcast of this show is available for listening or download from Q94's website, www.q94classicrock.com. Click on "The Professor's Classroom," and then scroll down to "Homegrown Rocker Podcast" and look for the four show segments marked with the date, 062622.)

Here is this week's playlist:

HOUR ONE:

THE JEREMY EDGE PROJECT - "Firedancer"
JUKEHOUSE BOMBERS - "Born to Hard Time"
SILVER LIGHTS - "Painter's Melody"
INFUSED - "It's All Right"
STEVE TREADO - "Defenseless"
ARTESE & TOAD - "Ghost on the Track"
BUFFALO ROSE w/TOM PAXTON - "I Give You the Morning"
MOONSHINE JASMINE - "Hang On There Ryder"
THE JADED LIPS - "Jealous Eyes"
OVERHEAD - "Little Room"
VAN WAGNER - "If You Go to Pennsylvania"

HOUR TWO:

BLACK RIDGE - "You'll Never Stop This Machine"
NATE GATES - "Cassey"
DR. CHANCE BARTLEBY (& the ?!) - "IGU 867"
PAPER PLANTS - "Run with the Wolves"
NAIL BITE - "Eclipse"
CHOKING FAITH - "Wait!" (2006, Local Music Flashback)
TURN COLD - "Poltergeist" (Across State Lines)
THE HEATHEN PARADE - "Notorious"
THE DESTRUCT PRINCIPLE - "A Kingdom, Collapsed"
SUICIDE PUPPETS - "My Love Your Hate"
MARCEL RAY DURIEZ - "34"

We originally had a band guest scheduled for July 3, but that group needed to bow out of their appearance, so we'll stay in the mailboxes for another week! That means more new music is coming your way - expect to hear new tunes from such names as Halestorm, Post Traumatik, Teen Town, String Machine, The Stone Eye, Ted McCloskey, Jakob Vladimir, The Daylight Society and more! We'll also dig a "Local Music Flashback" from the archive, step "Across State Lines" to hear music from an out-of-state independent band or artist, and review Moonshine Jasmine's I'm Not Sorry album in "The Professor's CD Corner!" And we'll even throw in a few local July 4/Independence Day-themed numbers as well! Hear the "Homegrown Rocker" this Sunday night (July 3) on Q94 Classic Rock - 94.3 FM and online at www.q94classicrock.com!

Upcoming guests and specials:

JULY 10 - CHRIS WOODWARD & SHINDIGGIN'
JULY 17 - BLUES TAKEOVER SPECIAL
JULY 24 - COVER SONG SPECIAL
JULY 31 - DAVE MAYERSKY (UPSTAGE FESTIVAL)
AUGUST 14 - LIVE IN THE STUDIO SPECIAL
SEPT. 4 - MUSICIAN DOUBLE-VISION SPECIAL

(All dates are subject to changes as circumstances warrant.)
