Hello Everyone,

Here is the recap of the July 3 edition of "The Homegrown Rocker," which airs every Sunday night from 8 to 10 PM on Q94 Classic Rock!

Since we had a band guest cancellation for this week's program, we kept the "mailboxes" theme from last week and continued to unveil new local and regional recordings that have arrived recently. That meant that we debuted more songs - getting their first airplay on the program were tunes from Halestorm, Teen Town, String Machine, Post Traumatik, Jakob Vladimir, The Stone Eye, The Daylight Society and Ted McCloskey! Since this was Independence Day eve, we also pulled out some July 4/Independence Day-themed numbers from Roadkill, Jackson Monsour, The Ne'er Do Wells and members of The Badlees! And since they are headlining this year's July 4 Central PA 4th Fest in State College, we broke out a 1986 number from Southside Johnny & the (Asbury) Jukes! In addition, we dug out a 2005 number by Philadelphia's Zelazowa (three-time former "Homegrown Rocker" guests) for a "Local Music Flashback," stepped "Across State Lines" to hear a song from Medford, Oregon's Emissary, and reviewed Moonshine Jasmine's I'm Not Sorry album in "The Professor's CD Corner!" (For those who missed the program, a four-part podcast of this show is available for listening or download from Q94's website, www.q94classicrock.com. Click on "The Professor's Classroom," and then scroll down to "Homegrown Rocker Podcast" and look for the four show segments marked with the date, 070322.)

Here is this week's playlist:

We'll also update "Local Music News," dig a "Local Music Flashback" from the archive, and review Mike Williamson's Almost There album in "The Professor's CD Corner!"
