Hello Everyone,

Here is the recap of the July 10 edition of "The Homegrown Rocker," which airs every Sunday night from 8 to 10 PM on Q94 Classic Rock!

This week, we welcomed a guest via phone, as Chris Woodward (www.chriswoodwardmusic.com) joined our program! In addition, we debuted new songs from Derek Woods Band, Lone Crow Rebellion and Luke Cimbala, updated "Local Music News," dug out a 2001 number by Kris Kehr & the Stone Poets from the archive for a "Local Music Flashback," and reviewed Mike Williamson's Almost There... album in "The Professor's CD Corner!" (For those who missed the program, a four-part podcast of this show is available for listening or download from Q94's website, www.q94classicrock.com. In Local Music News...

Some band personnel moves to report...Guitarist Tom Buck has rejoined Cambria County classic rock group Fuse after stepping away from the group last year. Tom's first show back with Fuse happened last night at the Jackson Township Heritage Festival in Vinco.

Dave Wessels takes over behind the drum kit with area pop and rock band TV Blonde, replacing the departing Blaine Martin. Dave, who has previously played drums in several Huntingdon area bands and was the former mayor of Huntingdon, played his first show with TV Blonde July 2 at the Muddy Run Tavern in Huntingdon.

One of Pittsburgh's established live music venues during the past three decades will be closing its doors later this month. According to a social media message, a serious health issue is prompting the Pantelas family to close Excuses Bar & Grill within the next few weeks. Excuses had become a Pittsburgh institution over its 34 years, and had hosted patrons, sports icons, celebrities and live music.
