Hello Everyone,

Here is the recap of the September 18 edition of "The Homegrown Rocker," which airs every Sunday night from 8 to 10 PM on Q94 Classic Rock!

Thanks to our guest via phone this week, Lancaster area musician Ben Swaner! Ben shared his story with us - after starting out playing drums for several early bands, he decided to branch out on his own, and learned to play several other instruments, invest in recording gear, and created original songs for his project Threshold Of Insanity. We heard several of Ben's song creations with Threshold Of Insanity, and we debuted a new number from Black Ridge as well. We dug out a 1993 number from the early lineup of Johnstown hard rockers Inside Out for our "Local Music Flashback," stepped "Across State Lines" to hear music from Binghamton, New York's Driftwood, and reviewed Dr. Chance Bartleby's Drum The Soup album in the "Professor's CD Corner!" (For those who missed the program, a four-part podcast of this show is available for listening or download from Q94's website, www.q94classicrock.com. Click on "The Professor's Classroom," and then scroll down to "Homegrown Rocker Podcast" and look for the four show segments marked with the date, 091822.)

Here is this week's playlist (with spotlighted musicians in parentheses):

HOUR ONE:

PAPER PLANTS - "Fighting Gravity"
THRESHOLD OF INSANITY - "Anhedonia"

We'll introduce new numbers from The Loons, Shiva Skydriver, The Roof, Lucid Yooth & the Cubensis Lenses, Prof Phumpkenhead, Ma'aM, Paper Plants and more! We'll also dig into the archive for another "Local Music Flashback" and step "Across State Lines" to explore another independent band or artist from outside PA!
