Hello Everyone,

Here is the recap of the October 23 edition of "The Homegrown Rocker," which airs every Sunday night from 8 to 10 PM on Q94 Classic Rock!

The show's mailboxes again quickly filled up with new local and regional music recordings in recent days, so we emptied the mailboxes and spotlighted their contents on this week's program! We debuted new songs from Memory Collector, Dustin Rainey, Images Of Eden, Eternal Frequency, Pieces Of Reason, Yigga Digga, Lucid Yooth & the Cubensis Lenses, The Stone Eye, Dr. Chance Bartleby and Kevo Can't Dance! We also introduced new songs from Threshold Of Insanity and Anthrophobia, updated "Local Music News," dug a 1996 number by Harrisburg's Dead Left Centre from the archive for a "Local Music Flashback," and stepped "Across State Lines" to hear a new song from coastal North Carolina, courtesy of bandleader Bill Downing and his project Bill & Friends! (For those who missed the program, a four-part podcast of this show is available for listening or download from Q94's website, www.q94classicrock.com. Click on "The Professor's Classroom," and then scroll down to "Homegrown Rocker Podcast" and look for the four show segments marked with the date, 102322.)

Here is this week's playlist:

HOUR ONE:

THE JADED LIPS - "It's Not Me"
TED McCLOSKEY - "Let It Burn"
MEMORY COLLECTOR (feat. PHILLY GROOVES WAGNER) - "See My Shadow"

YIGGA DIGGA - "Time Bandit"
SOURMASH - "Wild Willie"
THE DEAD END STREETS - "Seems I Survived"
FELIX & THE HURRICANES - "Little Ears"

HOUR TWO:

BLACK RIDGE - "Raw Power"
LUCID YOOTH & THE CUBENSIS LENSES - "Space Queen Daydream" (live)
CODY TYLER & GYPSY CONVOY - "Fate I Can't Outrun"

DEAD LEFT CENTRE - "Drained" (1996, Local Music Flashback)
BILL & FRIENDS - "Pretty Girl" (Across State Lines)
THE ROOF - "Shangri-La"
DR. CHANCE BARTLEBY - "Hey, Governor!"
KEVO CAN'T DANCE - "Pinestreet"
THE DARK COUNTRY - "Crazies"

Our next program falls on Halloween Eve, so you know what that means - the 2022 installment of the annual Halloween Special! Every band, artist or song we play will have some connection to all things Halloween, so expect to hear tunes about witches, spiders, zombies, ghosts, monsters and other creatures run amok! We'll also dig into the archive for a Halloween-themed "Local Music Flashback," step "Across State Lines" to hear a scary number from an out-of-state band or artist, and review Clearfield County horror rockers Less Than Zero's debut album Rotten in "The Professor's CD Corner!" Hear the "Homegrown Rocker" this Sunday night (October 30) on Q94 Classic Rock - 94.3 FM and online at www.q94classicrock.com!
