Hello Everyone,

Here is the recap of the March 19 edition of "The Homegrown Rocker," which airs every Sunday night from 8 to 10 PM on Q94 Classic Rock (www.q94classicrock.com), and from 10 PM to midnight on 107.1 and 101.3 Jack FM (www.1071jack.fm)!

This week we slammed the lid on St. Patrick's Day weekend with our annual St. Patrick's Special! We let the area music scene get its Irish up, spotlighting those area and regional bands and performers with a wee bit of the Irish and Celtic flavor in their sound! Along the way, we debuted some new Irish-flavored and themed numbers from Bill Dann & Jack Servello, Celtic Wood & Wires, the Kilmaine Saints and Full Kilt. We also played a previously unreleased number from former State College-based Irish rock/punk performers The Clover, broke out a live 2001 tune by the Michael O'Brian Band for a "Local Music Flashback," and stepped "Across State Lines" to check out a tune from Rochester, New York area Irish rock/punk performers 1916! (For those who missed the program, a four-part podcast of this show is available for listening or download from Q94's website, www.q94classicrock.com. Click on "The Professor's Classroom," and then scroll down to "Homegrown Rocker Podcast" and look for the four show segments marked with the date, 031923.)
