Hello Everyone,

Here is the recap of the August 7 edition of Q94's weekly local music program, "The Backyard Rocker," which airs every Sunday night from 8 to 10 PM on WBRX 94.3 and WBXQ 94.7.

This week, we explored the siblings of the area music scene on our first ever "Brothers and Sisters of Local Music" Special. We heard music from a number of the various brothers and sisters that perform on the local and regional music scene; some in the same band, some in different groups. Along the way, we debuted new tunes from Mark & Jill Simanski and Jerry's Fault.

This week's playlist (with the brothers/sisters in parentheses)

HOUR ONE:

THE GRIMM - "Suicide Knob" (Kent and Kirk Tonkin)
BACKSTREET LAW - "Open Your Eyes" (Jamie and Jeff Morral)
MARK & JILL SIMANSKI - "Take Your Words" (Mark and Jill)
FELIX & THE HURRICANES w/DAN MYERS II - "Lady Liberty" (Felix & Dick Kos; Dan Myers II & Chris Myers)
JERRY'S FAULT - "Tearjerker" (Denny & Ken Pompa)
HOMER'S ARMY - "Josie" (Tim Homerski and John Homerski, Jr.)
MERCY SEAT - "Holy Eyes" (Sean & Matt Nagy)
SOUNDRIVE - "Jet Plane" (Bryan & Jason Kish)
SLAMMER - "Locked Up" (1993; Local Music Flashback) (Matt Socoski {in band}, Nick & Nate Socoski)
BRIDGES AND A BOTTLE - "Old City Train" (Adam & Justin Smith)

HOUR TWO:

CONDITION K - "On A Sunday" (Kyle Taylor)
RECTIFIER - "Drama Queen" (Mitch Taylor)
KAIROS - "Possessions" (Jason & Josh Sturm)
HALESTORM - "Pieces Of Change" (Lzzy & Arejay Hale)
STRONGHOLD - "Stronghold" (Dave & Dan Climo)
