Hello Everyone,

Here is the recap of the July 27 edition of Q94's weekly local music program, "The Backyard Rocker," which airs every Sunday night from 8 to 10 PM on WBRX 94.3 and WBXQ 94.7.

Thanks to the singer, songwriter, and brainchild of Reading-based rock band Cloud Party, Jim Speese, for speaking with us via phone on the program. Jim discussed Cloud Party’s current project, a live DVD, that should be available toward’s year’s end. Jim also discussed the band’s music, the direction the next Cloud Party album could take, songwriting advice and more. We heard tracks from Cloud Party’s most recent CD, “Real,” plus a new Cloud Party song, “Tears In Rain” which appears on the DRP Records compilation CD, “Gimmie the Medicine.” We also heard new songs from Fat Vinny & the Wiseguys, Issues, The Illuminati and Sherri Mullen.

This week's playlist:

HOUR ONE:

FAT VINNY & THE WISEGUYS – “Like A Mule”
THE CLARKS – “Chasin’ Girls”
CLOUD PARTY – “The Mansion On The Hill”
THE WORRY KNOT – “Another Golden One”
CLOUD PARTY – “Real”
MAXWELL STRAIT – “Babblefish”
CLOUD PARTY – “Tears In Rain”
ISSUES – “Still The Rain”

CLOUD PARTY – “The Nine Headed Hydra of Love”
THE ILLUMINATI – “Final Fight”
CLOUD PARTY – “Shadow of an Angel”
FREE KAWFEE – “Angel”

This Sunday night, August 3, Altoona-based heavy rockers Flord make a return visit to the program.
