Hello Everyone,

Here is the recap of the August 24 edition of Q94's weekly local music program, "The Backyard Rocker," which airs every Sunday night from 8 to 10 PM on WBRX 94.3 and WBXQ 94.7.

Thanks to our guest, John Cimino, for joining us on the program this week to discuss his studio project, Thunderbox. We heard various tracks from last year's Thunderbox CD, "A Postcard From The Sun," and learned about the project and John's other musical endeavors. We also debuted lots of new music this week, including songs from Dead Leaves, Halestorm, Aftershok, Position, Hydrate and The Benderz.

This week's playlist:

HOUR ONE:

FELIX & THE HURRICANES - "Backyard Rocker"
TONY MOLLICK - "Sweet Sister"
THUNDERBOX - "Mystified"
DEAD LEAVES - "Morea"
THUNDERBOX - "Tomorrow Will Arrive"
DIVE - "Rain Keeps Falling"
THUNDERBOX - "King For A Day"
SUMMEOYO - "Big Busted Women, Flat Busted Broke"
HALESTORM - "It's Not You"
KAIROS - "Possessions"

HOUR TWO:

AFTERSHOK - "Beware of the Night"
POSITION - "Boy Next Door"
THUNDERBOX - "Groove Me"
HYDRATE - "Watching"
THUNDERBOX - "Seven"
THE BENDERZ - "Whiskey In The Jar"
THUNDERBOX - "Rubber Band"
STARGUN HOLLOWAY - "Rubberman"
THUNDERBOX - "Surreal"

On Sunday night, August 31, Summeoyo (pronounced "some yo-yo") will join us in the studio. The alter ego of Duncansville-based singer and songwriter David Burtner, we'll learn about Summeoyo and hear songs from the CD "Don't Judge a Song By Its Title." An accomplished songwriter, David will also discuss songwriting topics, and we'll hear some of his other compositions. David Burtner and Summeoyo on the "Backyard Rocker," this Sunday night!
