Hello Everyone,

Here is the recap of the January 1 edition of Q94's weekly local music program, "The Backyard Rocker," which airs every Sunday night from 8 to 10 PM on WBRX 94.3 and WBXQ 94.7.

This week, over the course of a 3-hour special, we looked back over the past year on the area music scene on the “Backyard Rocker” 2005 Year In Review Special. Starting with January, we proceeded our way through the year, checking out the happenings, shows, and music that defined the local and regional music scene in 2005. We looked at the bands and artists who came and went, personnel moves, album releases, memorable concerts and more. We featured music from a number of 2005’s CD releases, as well as some of the bands and artists who appeared on the “Backyard Rocker” during the past year. We closed the door on the year just completed, and hinted at a few things to come in the new year 2006.

Here is this week’s playlist:

HOUR ONE:

Next Sunday night, our first guest of 2006 will be Crystal Cameron. A Claysburg native who sang for popular area bands Sage and Fuse in the late 90’s, Crystal now calls Dallas, Texas home; and recently released her new solo album, Crystallyzed. We will hear Crystal talk about her career and new album, and we will play songs from the Crystallyzed CD. Lucky listeners will have chances to call in to win a copy of the album, and all CD winners will be entered in a grand prize drawing at show’s end to win a Sony mp3 player, courtesy of Crystal’s recording label, Fella-Ship Productions. Crystal Cameron visits the “Backyard Rocker,” next Sunday night!
