Hello Everyone,

Here is the recap of the February 1 edition of Q94's weekly local music program, "The Backyard Rocker," which airs every Sunday night from 8 to 10 PM on WBRX 94.3 and WBXQ 94.7.

Originally, this week’s show was to be the “Super Bowl Widow’s Special” edition, hosted by the Q94 2004 Calendar Girls. But things didn’t go according to plan; the combination of two snowstorms and the show’s regular host taking ill during midweek screwed up the logistics for coordinating and organizing the special. So the Calendar Girls didn’t host the show; and instead, it was yours truly on Memorex (yes, I was out and taking in the game) jam-packing two hours with local and regional music, including a number of new songs. We featured new material from Drugmoney (featuring former Dead Reckoning/Tucker Barton member ‘Fisher Meehan’), Vicious Cycle, Quagmire Swim Team, Suture Seven, Poptart Monkeys, X-Calibur, Evensong, Infused, Crimson Rain and Acid Reflux. Thanks to anyone and everyone who turned down the game sound (particularly during halftime, that was horrid!) and cranked up the “Backyard Rocker;” the area musicians and yours truly appreciate it!
