Hello Everyone,

Here is the recap of the January 14 edition of Q94's weekly local music program, "The Backyard Rocker," which airs every Sunday night from 8 to 10 PM on WBRX 94.3 and WBXQ 94.7.

We always appreciate guests who log some mileage to be on the show. Thus, thanks to our guests this week, Fredericksburg, VA-based hard rockers Love.Hate.Fear (www.myspace.com/luvhatefear), for making the “Backyard Rocker” part of their first foray into this part of the world (along with being part of a band triple-bill at Aldo’s this past Friday with 4 Days Dirty and another Fredericksburg-based band, Envy Insane). We met the band members (including Carrolltown’s T.J. Skirsky on drums), and got acquainted with their hard-hitting style and sound. We heard several tracks from Love.Hate.Fear’s CD demo, and the group brought acoustic instruments and played four songs live on the air. We also debuted new songs from 1Way, Acalasia and Spirit Lost, and we reviewed John Charney’s new solo album, Be Water, in “The Professor’s CD Corner.” (The review can be viewed on Q94’s website, www.wbxq.com, in the “Backyard Rocker” section of the message board area.)

Here is this week’s playlist:

HOUR ONE:

FAYTED – “Señoritaville”
FLIGHT 19 – “Migraine”
LOVE.HATE.FEAR – “LHF”
1WAY – “Articulation”
LOVE.HATE.FEAR – “Drunkenlazy” (performed live on the air)
PIVOT – “River Entrance”
THE ALLUMINATI – “Fading”
LOVE.HATE.FEAR – “Wounds”

HOUR TWO:

4 DAYS DIRTY – “Killbox”
LOVE.HATE.FEAR – “Unclean” (performed live on the air)
JOHN CHARNEY – “Sojourn”
LOVE.HATE.FEAR – “The Waiting” (performed live on the air)
ACALASIA – “Contradictory”
SPIRIT LOST – “Soul Seeker (Can’t Stop)”
LOVE.HATE.FEAR – “Say It Ain’t So” (performed live on the air)
LOVE.HATE.FEAR – “One Foot”

Next Sunday night, our guests will again be from out of state, but again with a local connection. We’ll welcome the Cleveland-based pop/R&B band Fleshcoat featuring Dr. E. We’ll meet the band members, and hear tracks from their new CD Coat Of Flesh. We’ll also hear from other area bands and artists, and update Local Music News. Fleshcoat featuring Dr. E on the “Backyard Rocker,” next Sunday night!
