Hello Everyone,

Here is the recap of the January 28 edition of Q94's weekly local music program, "The Backyard Rocker," which airs every Sunday night from 8 to 10 PM on WBRX 94.3 and WBXQ 94.7.

Thanks to our guests, Indiana’s The Alluminati (www.thealluminati.com), for a hard-rocking two hours! We met the members of The Alluminati (formerly known as Faultline), learned their story to date, discussed their music and live show, and heard various tracks from their forthcoming CD, expected out later this year. We also debuted new songs from The April Skies and Our Broken Silence, and reviewed Good For Nothing’s debut CD, Welcome To The Carnival, in “The Professor’s CD Corner.” (The review can be viewed in the “Backyard Rocker” section of the Message Board on Q94’s website, www.wbxq.com.)

Here is this week’s playlist:

HOUR ONE:

NITEKAST – “Humidity”
SHADES OF JUNE – “Saturday In January”
THE ALLUMINATI – “Never Again”
THE MARAUDERS – “Johnny Don’t Like It (When You Call Him Elvis)”
THE ALLUMINATI – “Fading”
SOLEGION – “Faith, Hope & Loneliness”
THE ALLUMINATI – “Betrayal”
AGONY HILL – “Spent”
THE APRIL SKIES – “X”

HOUR TWO:

PIVOT – “Redefine”
4 DAYS DIRTY – “Wanted”
THE ALLUMINATI – “Ashes”
GOOD FOR NOTHING – “Impossible”
THE ALLUMINATI – (untitled)
OUR BROKEN SILENCE – “Starlit Eyes”
THE ALLUMINATI – “Lullaby’s Intermission”
THE ALLUMINATI – “Without A Trace”

Next Sunday night, we’re well aware what we’re up against in the sporting world. If you could care less who wins between the Bears and the Colts, or didn’t get invited to anyone’s Super Bowl party, feel free to tune in the “Backyard Rocker” instead for the Super Bowl Widow’s Special. For two hours, we’ll place the spotlight on the ladies of the local and regional music scene, and showcase bands featuring female musicians. We’ll hear from some excellent lady singers, along with guitarists, bass players, drummers and more! The spotlight falls on the ladies of the area music scene on the Super Bowl Widow’s Special edition of the “Backyard Rocker,” next Sunday night!

Forthcoming guests and specials include:

FEB. 11 – Bill Ferrell (Kyx)
FEB. 25 – Millennium Music Conference 11 Recap Special
