Hello Everyone,

Here is the recap of the August 22 edition of "The Homegrown Rocker," which airs every Sunday night from 8 to 10 PM on Q94 Classic Rock!

Thanks to our guests, Drew Zimmerman and Joe Trojcak, for being part of this week's program! We spoke with Drew about his band and recording project, August Winters (www.augustwinterspa.com), who release the new album The Lion, The Reaper on August 27! We discussed the album, plus received added insight from Joe, the owner and operator of Progressive Enterprises recording studio in Elizabethtown, where the album was recorded. We featured songs from the album, plus Drew brought a guitar and did a couple of songs live! We also debuted a new song from Andy Mowatt's Frequency Movement (AMFM), updated "Local Music News," dug a 2009 number by Top Dead Center from the archive for a "Local Music Flashback," and reviewed Suicide Puppets' Tales of Living and Dying on Slaughter Ridge Road in "The Professor's CD Corner!" (For those who missed the program, a four-part podcast of this show is available for listening or download from Q94's website, www.q94classicrock.com. Click on "The Professor's Classroom," and then scroll down to "Homegrown Rocker Podcast" and look for the four show segments marked with the date, 082221.)

Here is this week's playlist:

SMALL TOWN TITANS - "Rufflin' Feathers"
SILVER SCREEN - "Codeine"
AUGUST WINTERS - "The Lion, The Reaper"

AUGUST WINTERS - "I Can't Fix This"
TOP DEAD CENTER - "Breadline" (2009, Local Music Flashback)

In addition, we will update "Local Music News," dig into the archive for a "Local Music Flashback," step "Across State Lines" to hear music from an independent band or artist from outside PA, and review Roadkill's The First 30 Years 1989-2019: Worst Misses album in "The Professor's CD Corner!" Hear the "Homegrown Rocker" this Sunday night (August 29) on Q94 Classic Rock - 94.3 FM and online at www.q94classicrock.com!
