this reminds of the time when WFBG AM tried to do away back in 1976 with All Night Album because they said that there was no market for a radio show of that nature. JP was doing something like that on Sunday nights 10 until midnight. They say they advertising? Wel I even said to JP about this where ...

Re: On Stage Persona of Various Genres
Bear with me as I try to explain this thread. Why are bands expected to act a particular way on stage based on the genre they play ? Being newly introduced to the blues, I see that - on stage - the visual actions of the performers are different than, say, rock. For instance a rock band front man wi...

Re: Chick Singers: The Sarah Palin Chronicles.
My favorite ad in any rockpage classified is Singer Needed (Female) God forbid you spend some time practicing your songs or doing the leg work to get some good shows with good crowds. No, no, here we go. Instead, let's get a chick singer so the drooling masses will come to salivate at the front of ...

Re: The Lost Children of the Alleghenies
Do any Rockpagers know this story about the lost children of the Alleghenies? This took place in 1856 in Bedford County in the Lovely, PA area near what is now Pavia and Pleasantville. Alison Krause did this song called, Jacob's Dream, about the incident. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pj1p22kW5Xs ...

I see no mention of Steve Morse. He got to fill the shoes of Ritchie Blackmore in Deep Purple and Satch turned the gig down when he was offered it. No only Morse plays in DP also the Dixie Dregs and the Steve Morse Band. Listen to some of those Dregs songs like Take It Off the Top, Assembly Line, et...

Re: Good Rats Video
For anybody who remembers, a couple of summers ago I was raving about seeing "the world's most famous unknown band," The Good Rats, when they played a free outdoor gig in Greensburg. I actually saw the current edition of the band, who goes by the alter ego Dum; the group features Good Rat...
