Gravity Hill?

Post by Bag »

Anyone ever hear of this place? I'm thinking when the weather clears up, I might have to take a bike ride there.

Maybe Johhny can write a song about it before Allison Krause hears about it.

Been there many times. It's between Pleasantville and Schellsburg.

LOL! I imagine a little kid all pissed cuz he didn't become weightless or drug up the hill by a super magnetic pull.

If I remember correctly there are at least two of these in PA.

Yeah, that's the visual I got, too. A little kid expecting to just float away. :) ------>JMS

I only know of the one. It is an odd feeling just at the point when you stop and start to drift back up (down) the hill. I always liked to go after reading the funny papers.

I've seen flyers for it in sheetz at the turnpike exit in Bedford. I've been there I think it's kinda cool It does look like you coast up hill and you pick up some speed as you go. It made the hair on the back of my next stand up' I would have bet a million dollars we were going to roll the other way. Everyone should check it out' but it's hard to find you have to have an odometer because the directons are in tenths of a mile' when you get there they have lines painted on the road to tell you where it starts and stops. http://www.gravityhill.com/

Actually I brought all kinds of stuff to test it with. I was disappointed that it was all optical and I was too short for the illusion to work...

I was pretty disappointed but if you are just out for a bike ride and need a destination what the hell. I do think it would be more impressive if ya smoked a fatty first.
