Yeah, me neither. It could have been anything... he seemed in good health, so I'm curious.------->JMS

It's official...another death by white powder. From Blabbermouth.net:
The Associated Press reports that the death last month of Kevin Dubrow, lead singer for the 1980s heavy metal band QUIET RIOT, has been ruled an accidental cocaine overdose.

Clark County coroner spokeswoman Samantha Charles confirmed the cause Monday (December 10) after toxicology results were received.

Dubrow was found dead Nov. 25 at his Las Vegas home. He was 52.

QUIET RIOT was perhaps best known for its 1983 cover of "Cum on Feel the Noize". The song, featuring Dubrow's powerful, gravelly voice, appeared on the band's album "Metal Health" — which was the first by a metal band to reach No. 1 on the Billboard chart.

DuBrow recorded a solo album in 2004, "In for the Kill", and the band's last studio CD, "Rehab", came out in October 2006.
I would like to know what they mean by an "accidental" cocaine overdose? Perhaps, did Kevin think the stuff was sugar and put it on his cornflakes or in his coffee by accident?

JP: pretty much anyone who was anyone back in the day in Hollyweird had a taste for the white powder. (Kevin being no exception) Some are guessing this was maybe his last Hurrah so to speak before entering rehab and he tried to do the same amount of the drug from when he was a hard core addict. I'm actually shocked there hasn't been more deaths in the 80's metal community. (*cough Motley Crue )

I was watching some show on one of the VH1 channels a few weeks back showing Motley Crue getting together and doing things again or whatever...Tommy Lee skipping out on photo shoots and Vince Neil being all mad about it (normal I'd imagine?).

One guy in the band looked like he was about to croak at any time...he wasn't even able to stand for long periods of time.

That's Mick Mars. He has a bone disease, which is why he can barely stand. He used a custom made prop that he leaned into to keep him up during the last tour they did.

I was unaware of that. Stigmas!

That's sad...he looks a lot different than even a few years ago on their "Behind the Music"

I had a thought that drugs had something to do with it, but didn't want to speculate. It's a shame, really.

Seems odd to me that when a 'famous' person dies, it's okay to discuss cause of death on RockPage, but when a RockPage member dies, it's not. I suppose with fame you lose your right to privacy, but still, it's yet another RP double standard...

Sorry if you were close with Mr. Dubrow

Actually with fame you don't lose your right to privacy, you $ELL it to your fans.

People did not discuss a rp members death out of COURTESY of loved ones who may have to read it.
Most people here are friends, if you cannot see the difference you are a socially retarded and I feel bad for you. Plus you're nosy as fuck. Why would you care about the death someone whose life had no impact on you.

I'm sure rockpage had exclusive info to Kevin Dubrow's cause of death.
Call the associated press, you heard it here first.

Anything else you wanna dig up and debate?
Or should you go back to lurking?

Yeah, he's lost a lot of his health over the last few years. Given that he was using a prop on the last tour, I can't imagine him touring anymore after the last one. Probably the last time you'll see Mick Mars on a stage again.

Accidental overdose...what an oxymoron. What's so accidental about shoving an illegal drug up your nose, or anywhere else for that matter? It's just a shame...another life just gone...and for what? :(
