I just picked up a Markbass Little Mark II amp and so far couldn't be happier with it. Markbass is a fairly new brand out of Italy and have gained alot of big name users so far. This amp is 300 watts at 8ohms and 500 watts at 4 ohms and only weighs 6lbs. When I tried it in the store I was blown away at how much sound came out of this little box. I can't wait to try this out on a gig with my Eden 410 and 115 cabinets. Speaking of which Markbass cabs are amazingly lightweight as well. I gotta pickup a cab or two real soon!
PS: I'm keeping the Eden WT800 too!

Looks like a pretty sweet little head! I checked out the specs on their website. Very impressive for something so small! Ain't technology great!
Where did you get it? Are they pricey?
I played the Markbass 4x10 and 1x15 with the matching head at Guitar Center in Monroeville when it first came in. I have to say that I was really impressed. The tone was very clear yet warm. I had some folks with me and they said that this was the first time that they had heard me play bass and the sound didn't change anywhere in the room.
I tried out the ultra portable stuff at Guitar Center a few months back and was BLOWN AWAY. Markbass was actually on my list of candidate gear for my new rig (I ultimately went with Carvin). I love everything about Markbass stuff EXCEPT for the lack of a real dealer network in the states. The Guitar Center guys weren't able to even get me pricing or availability on the larger systems and seemed to only have knowledge of what was on the floor.
Pros: Very sweet tone, sounds great with minimal tweaking, portable/light, great punch.
Cons: How hard are spare parts to come by when Guitar Center doesn't have access to anything beyond store stock?
Tim: I'll be looking forward to hearing your long-term user review, though I'm shocked that you found anything as nice as that Eden rig you've been using! To be honest, if the dealer issue hadn't been such a concern for me, I may have purchased Markbass instead of Carvin...but now I've got a year of payments before I can think of changing again!
The pricing includes the $79.00 for the 2 year warranty which is actually a 3rd party insuranace that works like this:
If you have an issue you call a toll free number and they arrange for you to take to UPS to have shipped. The amp is repaired and returned directly to you or if the amp is toast they issue a check for the price of the amp.
We'll see how it works, plus I still have the Eden for a backup!
