Does anybody know of anyone locally that does good work on acoustics? I have a Washburn acoustic/electric that I got through MF a while back and when it arrived the action was so low that all notes played above the 5th fret choked out. It was unplayable. I took it to a local shop where they had someone work on it (They say they raised the bridge and filed frets) the action was higher and no more fret buzz but it's actually too high. The neck doesn't appear to be bowed. I've considered removing the nut and sanding it down a bit as the strings appear to be high even at the first fret. Any advice or a name and # of someone who knows what they're doing?
Thanks.

Mike
Talk to Mike Z at the Music Sanitarium(emporium).
I own a Washburn EA18TS matched tobacco top with a B Band in it.
Mike installed a TUSQ nut and Saddle for me and set up the Action nicely.
Check into a new saddle and nut if yours is the hard plastic type, the TUSQ really improved the tone of mine.
