If you could jump inside a time machine what gig of your favorite artist would u go back in time to see?

I love Hendrix, Sabbath, and The Doors

but I wish I would have been old enough to drive (responsibly) to Pittsburgh to have see the Clash of The Titans tour. AIC, Anthrax, Megadeth, and Slayer were all very influential to me. I asked my parents if I could take my little brother out to this concert but they wisely said HELL NO!!! I think it would have been life altering... I did get to take him to Skid Row/ Pantera which was prety cool too.

Stevie Ray Vaugh in a small club. That experience would be bordering on religious, IMO.

The Doors at the Whiskey would be cool too.

Ditto, plus a couple of the heavy weight rockers in their heyday....Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin.....I did see AC/DC with Bon Scott warming up UFO at the Stanley Theatre in Pittsburgh. Awesome show indeed!

Their are few people on here including myself,that were in Johnstown that awesome day. April 16th 1986,A day I will never ever forget.

Alot of good answers here...definitely Sabbath. The '78 tour with Van Halen would be perfect. Cliff era Metallica would be great too. Maybe goin to old deep south juke joint to see Robert Johnson or even Howlin Wolf before he got big.

The Summer Jam at Watkins Glen - 1973. This rock festival which once received the Guinness Book of World Records entry for "Largest audience at a pop festival." An estimated 600,000 rock fans came to the Watkins Glen Grand Prix Raceway outside of Watkins Glen, New York on July 28, 1973, to see The Allman Brothers Band, The Band, and the Grateful Dead perform. It was the largest musical concert up to that time, with an audience of over 600,000, but this number has since been superseded.

Forest Hills NY when Bob went electric - it changed rock music forever man. The FIRST time he went electric was at the Newport Folk Festival but I wouldn't have enjoyed the music as much there

Bob Marley on a beach in Jamaica - not sure if he ever played on a beach but I'm guessing he did at some point.

California Jam in '74 to see Black Sabbath
Asbury Park in '75 to see Sabbath (I have the soundboard boot from this show and they pretty much play the Sabotage record and it wasn't even released yet)
Monterey Pop Festival to see The Who and Hendrix
California in the late 70's early 80's to see the original Black Flag

i saw just about every hair metal show that came to johnstown. i think i only missed one. besides ozzy and metalica the one that sticks out in my mind the most was ted nugent and kiss. kiss did the oncore (i suck at spelling) they did a medley of songs that included a couple zepplin songs. it was awesome. eirc carrs drumm solo was out of this world.
