On top of the 'wood ID' (which you won't even have to take your pants off for!) I'll have some stuff to 'demo'.

I'll be showing off the following:

- Spector Euro 5
- Yamaha TRB-6P
- Hamer Chaparral 12
- LeFay Piccolo bass (maybe)
- Jazz mutt w/ EMGs and a Moses Graphite fretless neck

- Ampeg SVT-4 PRO
- Schroeder 1210R
- Schroeder 1212R
- Low Down Sound 3x8

This is all pending that I am still in PA come time for the get together. So Kent, I'm going to have to ask you to pencil me in because I can't give a definite yet.

Bump: Roll call...who all is in?

How to get to the Boilerhouse at Saint Francis University:

Go through the main gate (two brick pillars).
Take the first right on campus
Go down the hill to a stop sign. Go straight.
Park in the lower faculty lot (will not be a problem after hours)
The boilerhouse is a red brick building next to the physical plant. I'm pretty sure you'll hear bass sounds coming from the building!

If you get turned around: Call my cell: (814)330-5094.
If you need directions to SFU: Private message me!

Rock on!

I just wrapped up my lesson plan. I hope that everyone can get something out of it.

The Inaugural Rockpage Bassists Congress was a great success! From Paul's FANTASTIC lesson to Moondoggy and JackANSI's gear demos/explanations, the evening was extremely cool!

And, oh yeah, this was one show where the bass was the loudest thing in the room. And nobody told anybody to turn down;).

I make a motion to establish this gathering as AT LEAST a quarterly event. Any seconds?

Thanks to all who showed up...I truly learned a lot from watching all of you. Your bands are all fortunate to have you anchoring their ships!

Kudos brothers and sisters!

Put me down for next time already. Paul's finally explained the lingering questions I had about theory. That was more informational than an hour or so should allowed to be ;)

I'll actually do something more formal in regards to equipment.

The plan for next time:

Compressors: Types, Operation, Tricks
EQ's: Types, Operation, Tricks
Electrical theory: Impedence, Interaction, Level Control

Just need to figure out the best way to condense all that without leaving out anything important.

It was definitely a worth while experience. I learned a lot. Some if it, I just had never known and some was stuff that I had known but never actually knew what I was playing. I lot of theoretical stuff such as the lingo all makes sense now.

It certainly was not a bunch of bassists sitting in a room and playing as loud and as fast as they can. Everybody was there to learn and that's what was accomplished.

Awesome time. I will do whatever I can to arrange to be home for the next meet. Hopefully it will be on a weekend!

(And I got to touch Paul's new Carvin. It's hot!!!)
