So, in other words, after 09/13/2008 the local Music scene will be seeing more of UndercoverJoe! :D

Maybe we should make a law. No sex for the unemployed. I'm down.
LOL!

How about no kids born out of welfare? If a woman elects to go on welfare she must take birth control paid for by the working class. LOL. If she has a child she is permanently kicked off of welfare and then the child is placed into foster home paid for by the working man. Gotta love the endless arguments.

Love being able to enjoy a band without being forced to endure lung cancer in other states.

You appreciate it after awhile

I've got to admit I'm looking forward to it.

If for no other reason than it'll allow my wife to endure the bar for a longer period of time thus allowing me to drink more....

Nefarious huh?

As a bar owner (or at least the free slave wife of a bar owner), and as a non-smoker...I really don't care either way. Smoke or smoke free. But, there is so much about this law that has not been announced...

Yes, a private club can have smoking if they choose...however, if they have a band or an event that non-members may attend, making it opened to the public, they must not allow smoking. Therefore, if they book a party such as a reception and there are non-members at the event, unless they have separate ventilation systems for that room, they must be smoke free. If they book a band that is open to the public, they must be smoke free.

The only version of the law that I can find on line in its entirety still has lines crossing out words, etc. What type of pr campaign will they be running to let the business owners know what the law is for sure?

We have a second bar in our place...its downstairs. We are not sure if we can open it up as a smoking bar since we do not serve food down there. I believe we can if the ventilation system is seperate from the upstairs....but there is a factor about food sales being 20% or less of our total sales....we don't know how they want that documented...its all the same liquor license and food license...

Guess what I'm saying is that if government wants to put out such laws, they really need to let us know what the law is.

Someone asked who is in charged of enforcement...get this...department of health covers this one....you know they have so many officers who need work to do.

I'm not trying to get rid of big government. I'm trying to get rid of worthless human beings. (Yes this is tongue in cheek, as killjingle showed the arguments will never end. Just laughing at this whole thread really.
