I just checked, they are tied for the league worst record when leading after the second period. Actually after tonight's game, they should be solidly in last.

with tonight's loss they are under .500 when leading after the second. That's rediculous, no team should lose more games when than they win when they are already in the lead.

I agree, it is ridiculous & also very fustrating. Therrien has been harping on the team all season that they've got to put in a full 60 minutes of play -not just skating but playing with passion! Crosby & the team are aware of it. They just need to execute better. On the other hand, the Pens have had several impressive comeback victories so far this season - look at the last game against Detroit for example. As Jay on FSN always says, they have the talent & as long as they continue to get scoring chances, eventually the pucks will be hitting the back of the net. But as far as blowing leads, the Pens need better man-on-man coverage & minimize turn-overs especially in their own end. They certainly need to keep trying to improve on the power-play & work on better puck possession. The Pens had a great month of November. Crosby & Malkin are leading the NHL in scoring so things are looking pretty good. Sabourin getting beat on all three shootout attempts last night wasn't good. But things happen. Let's take the fustration out on Carolina tonight! Go Pen's!!!!

Whew. I thought some rogue antarctic penguins had migrated and were stealing people's jobs, liquor and wives and livestock. I was relieved to see it was about the hockey team.
