I have it sprayed in Black and it wet sanded it, so it looks really flat in the pictures.
I also decided at last minute to use a Strat style jack, which I turned upside down, so it routes the cable up through the strap.
So, here's where I'm at with it right now.
Won't be long now...
I got the bevels painted on this morning and then wet sanded and cleared it. It's looking really good now, just gotta wait for it to fully cure then wet sand and polish it, then I'm well on my way.
I also got the neck all done and it's ready for wet sanding and polishing as well.
I used a little bit of super glue to attach the nut, cause this neck isn't going to be permanent, and I'm only using it cause it's all I have for right now. I'll eventually use a Jackson neck with a locking nut....
Damn! I thought the idea of simple mods were pretty cool, as was the idea of piecing together guitars. You've pretty much made your own. I'm surprised you haven't gone as far as chopping down the trees and melting the ore to make each individual piece yet! That camo V looks wicked (store bought!) and the black "RR" looks great so far!
