I did about a month ago, prompting my reformat and switch to windows 7 beta.

ya that damn thing got two of our computers at work, its a tricky lil bastard. i downloaded that patch for it twice on one computer, and it kept coming back.....so i called in reinforcements lol. when the second computer got it, i didnt even touch it. just called the techs in.

good luck gettin rid of it.

Yeah, it apparently won't let you download any security stuff from Microsoft. I was able to download a removal utility that it must not have recognized. The site was bleepingcomputers.com. Scary shit. Probably some 13 year old.

this virus actually shows up on your computer as an Antivirus program, it honestly looks authentic til you start thinking about it. it prompts you to update your antivirus 2009/2010 whatever ... and i really dont know where it comes from, but its a trojan. and i dont know how to get rid of it, ive tried and failed lol.

Here's a link that shows what it looks like and how to get rid of it. It looks like an official Windows program.

or as I did with my parents computer when they got it, Wipe and Re-Install.
If I ever see an amputee getting hanged... I'm just gonna start yelling out letters...
