Hello rickster! Welcome to RP! Just a warning... Some of these guys bust balls. But it's all in good fun. Just remember that most jokers use the sanctioned smilies. If there is no smily interprit at your own risk. There may be some foul language but I assure you that everyone here is good people.
Again, welcome to RP!!!!

Welcome aboard, rickster. I'm sure you'll find Rockpage as useful as I have. There are a lot of knowledgeable folks on here, and everyone is cool. If you have any questions, please refer to the list that RobTheDrummer posted

Pour me another one, cause I'll never find the silver lining in this cloud.

Welcome! Have fun!
Stagefright: Well, I hate to say it, but there's only one cure. You have to face it. I was an incredibly shy kid, and that carried past high-school. I had this dream of being in a band, and I could play a little, so I put a band together. We worked really hard, and when it came time to play that first gig, I thought about how much effort we had invested, and I just willed myself to do it. Even if I failed, I still felt relieved to have done it. It came out awesome. I did passably well due to all the work, but more importantly, the state of anxiety I was in pumped a lot of adrenalin into me, my heart raced for hours. After awhile it's like being high. Your mind is firing on all 8 cylinders, but you're still kind of a passenger, watching it all take place.
That's what makes you book your second gig.

Definitely take this post in. There's not much you can do about stage fright. Just be confident that you can do it, and want to do it! I mean come on, it's just people. Whether you do good or bad, you will still get lovers and haters, so just do your thing and enjoy what you do!songsmith wrote:Welcome! Have fun!

music
Well, I like so much music in the wide spectrum that is rock.Theres very few rock songs I dont find something i like about them.I really dig Skynard, Ozzy, Puddle of Muddand most of the main stream stuff, it depends on my mood.As for guitars, I really only have 1 to speak Of.Its the ebony Gibson les paul studio i just bought second hand.As soo as I got it home I got the paint marker out and let all 4 of my young kids doodle on it
.It helps me remember what is important to me.As far as amps I have a peavy valve king 212 combo and last week I picked up a line 6 spider iii 75 watt ss amp.It is now my goto for practice.I found a used fvb express pedal for it ( If the guy shows up to sell it to me friday). They take a unique pedal.
