its a decent tune. Really popular with bar bands. I like a lot of other rage songs better.

There's three things to playing this tune correctly

Two different pitch cow bells
digitech whammy pedal
and some serious attitude!

Don't forget an American flag draped over your amp too !! haha....

RATM is my all time fave band.... First got hooked on them in 1992 down at Main Campus PSU... Every bar you walked into the cover band was doing this song with a 100 drunk students screaming the lyrics..... Then Craig Stevens got to drive their tour bus around so I got to see them live about 12 times.... Nobody throws down like Tom Morello.. You can't tell me he didn't drive his parents nuts with all those noises he makes with his guitar.....

Zack changes the lyrics every time I saw them live to reflect whatever was going on at the time..

From Wikipedia

"Zack de la Rocha sometimes changes the lyrics in the second verse from "Some of those that work forces are the same that burn crosses" to "Some of those that burn crosses are the same that hold office" [3] when playing live."

But he's also changed it to "are the same that bomb churches" when the black churches down south were getting fire bombed and a couple of other times he says whatever the latest news is...

For example this week if they did a concert he would do

"Some of those that burn crosses are the same hijack pirate ships"

"Some of those that burn crosses are the same that rob Subway shops"

You get the drift....
"Too Cool for Flames"
"Fast as a Greyhound, Tough as Leather and Hard as Krupp Steel" AH 1935

As everyone says, it's pretty much the Old Time Rock 'n Roll of the modern rock band setlist, which is kind of funny considering it wasn't as big of a radio hit as, say, Bulls on Parade or Guerilla Radio. It is a cool tune, particularly because the groove is actually a slowed down funk riff. It has the minor third into a major third interval, which always sounds awesome. Kenny and I still give each other the smug smile of satisfaction when we both hit that chromatic run in the middle of the second verse.

...I'd really like to do Bomb Track.

Take the power back and Testify used to be on my radio when I had to eek out another second or two on my time while autocrossing. I love playing those and they get my mind focused.
